Score update of SCO vs WI LIVE: Scotland cruising, McMullen & Cross smash 50s

Brandon McMullen has recently been on a tear, destroying the Windies batting, and now he’s destroying the Windies bowling with a magnificent fifty. The West Indies’ defence of a modest total has gotten off to a solid start. Christopher McBride, the opening batsman for Scotland national cricket team, was dismissed by Jason Holder on the very first delivery of Scotland’s innings. Earlier, Wisconsin’s batters accumulated a humiliating 181 runs. Even with Jason Holder (45) and Romario Shepherd’s opposition, it was insufficient. The complete Windies batting lineup struggled mightily and was ultimately dismissed. Brandon McMullen was the most successful bowler for the Scottish team, taking three wickets. The West Indies cricket team cannot afford to lose this Super 6 World Cup Qualifier match. If they lose, their hopes of competing in the World Cup in India will be destroyed.

On July 9, the top two Cricket teams at the conclusion of the Super Six round will compete in the CWC Qualifier Final. The victor of this match will qualify for the 2023 FIFA World Cup. Zimbabwe is currently in first position in the standings after winning their first three games. They are followed by Sri Lanka, who has won both of their previous matchups, and for Scotland national cricket team and the West Indies cricket team to progress up the standings, they will need to secure decisive victories.

During the first Cricket powerplay, Scotland’s Chris Sole and Brandon McMullen, bowling with the new ball, disrupted the West Indies cricket team batting order. Johnson Charles fell while attempting to go over the covers, Shamarh Brooks pushed one to slips with hefty hands, and Brandon King lobbed a simple catch back to the medium pacer. McMullen dismissed the first three players. Johnson Charles collapsed while attempting to climb into bed.

Kyle Mayers’ off-stump was uprooted by Sole in the seventh over, taking the West Indies’ score to 30/4 and placing the team in a precarious position.
Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran, who ranked first and second in run scoring for West Indies in the Qualifier, were tasked with spearheading a rebuilding effort. The Windies had hoped for a similar performance from the two as they did against Nepal, when they added 216 runs for the fourth wicket to save the innings. Unfortunately, Hope was intercepted by Safyaan Sharif, so no daring rescue mission would be conducted today.

After Mark Watt’s dismissal of Pooran in the twenty-first over, Scotland national cricket team assumed complete control of the proceedings. The southpaw batsman attempted to pull the slow left-arm orthodox spinner out of the ground, but he could only strike the ball into the deep midwicket region. There, Christopher McBride’s hands repeatedly came in and out of contact with the ball before eventually gaining a firm grasp on it.
If they had been a member of the Cricket team, they could have hoped for a score between 270 and 280. Despite this, the stand was broken in the 37th over when Sharif dismissed Shepherd at backward point with a magnificent one-handed blinder off Watt. Shepherd had a score of 36. Holder (45) was leg before wicket in the very next over, dealing the West Indies yet another setback.

The West Indies were ultimately bowled out in the 44th over of the contest. With a score of 3/32, McMullen distinguished himself as Scotland’s finest bowler.
